Indian Cuisine and Bar “Kashi”

Overview:

How We Turned a Rough Loft Into an Elegant Indian-Style Restaurant — Without Major Renovations and on a Minimal Budget

The client purchased an existing restaurant with a heavy loft-style interior: exposed ceilings, mismatched wood, and industrial lighting. The space felt outdated and lacked identity.

On top of that, the logistics were inefficient — bar staff and waiters crossed paths, and the bar itself was poorly equipped and visually uninspiring.

📌 The task:

Transform the space into something visually upscale, refined, and culturally connected to India — all while:

*avoiding full reconstruction,

*keeping closure time minimal,

*and staying within a $20,000 budget.

💡 What We Did:

  • Redesigned the entire commercial bar structure — now it looks premium and works efficiently.
  • Separated clean and dirty traffic flows — kitchen and bar now operate independently.
  • Transformed the perception of the interior using color, lighting, textiles, furniture, and decor — without construction or major work.
  • The space now looks more expensive, atmospheric, and welcoming — with no heavy renovations involved.

🎯 The Result:

Before: a cold, cluttered space with no mood or clear style. The bar looked cheap, the interior felt outdated.

After: an elegant restaurant with a distinct character, an atmosphere of warmth, prestige, and oriental charm.

Guests now stay longer, staff work more comfortably, and the venue looks far more premium than its actual budget.

Client testimonial:

Merrick Richards: “My brother and I love the result. We`d like to implement the design project precisely”.
